AIRPORT OPERATIONS TECHNCIAN

Full –Time with Benefits

Minimum Starting Salary $28,745

 

The Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport is seeking a highly- motivated and qualified Airport Operations Technician. We are seeking candidates that have the ability to perform airfield operations including, but not limited to: monitoring and controlling the use of the airport, providing the information assistance to both airport users and public with excellent communication skills. The qualified individual will be required to ensure compliance with all FAA, MDOT MAA and TSA regulations pertaining to federal standards and requirements to ensure the operational readiness safety and security of the airport.

 

Additionally, the qualified candidate will be responsible as the only county representative during weekends of high-paced flight line service activity. The candidate is responsible for performing a variety of aviation services for customers, including office duties, and general aviation. Flight line duties include, but are not limited to: aircraft fueling, servicing, custodial duties, fuel quality assurance and accurate documentation. The desired candidate must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate teamwork.

 

Prior knowledge of aircraft, aviation and safety procedures are desired, but not required. The candidate must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. This position requires the availability to work in all weather conditions.   This position requires operation of various types of equipment.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED, valid class C driver’s license, and two years of general maintenance work, such as building, warehouse, performing installations/repairs. Candidate must successfully pass all training to include, but not limited to: fueling training, badge training, AOA training, operations office training and other trainings as assigned.

Candidate must satisfactory meet and maintain a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
