Welcome to the Dorchester County TMDL Phase II WIP Local Team page. The links and information on this page are meant to assist stakeholders, from property owners to government agencies, in understanding the local effects of the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and local strategies to meet the goals set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Please note that this page will be continually updated during the tenure of the local team.
Notice of public hearing
The County Council of Dorchester County, Maryland will conduct a public hearing at 6:20 p.m. on July 3, 2012 in Room 110, County Office Building, 501 Court Lane, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 to consider approval of a Local Phase II Watershed Implementation Plan. The Local Phase II Watershed Implementation Plan is a component of the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for addressing nutrient loading reductions from point and nonpoint discharges in Dorchester County. Additional information is available for review at the County Council Office in Room 108 of the County Office Building, and online at the link below. Public comments will be accepted until July 3, 2012 and should be submitted in writing to Michael Moulds, Dorchester County Department of Public Works, 5435 Handley Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
